No hidden catches – these are the ground rules so every camper gets a nice spot:
- Up to 3 nights per stay – after that, feel free to move straight on to the next spot
- Up to 4 upcoming bookings at the same time
- Up to 7 bookings per host within 365 days
- You pay for water, electricity and sanitary facilities directly to the host
- Please show up reliably – up to 3 no-shows a year are okay

What sets the VanSite pitches apart?
Our pitches belong to welcoming private hosts who want to share their nature-close land with campers and greet their guests warmly.
Hosts usually offer no more than 3 pitches, so you stay far from mass tourism.
Many of our pitches also offer sanitary facilities such as a toilet and shower, or the option of fresh water and power. You can filter for these and many other criteria when searching for a pitch.
Are dogs allowed at the pitches?
Dogs are warmly welcome at 80 % of spots. In the app you can filter for dog-friendly spots with a single click.
How much does the VanSite JahresPass cost and who is it worth it for?
The JahresPass costs 249 € regularly. You pay that amount for the first 12-month term. After that the pass renews automatically for one more year at a time, cancellable any time with 1 month's notice before the term ends.
If you like to camp spontaneously or without doing a lot of maths, owning a JahresPass pays off. After just a few nights a year you save time and money on your holiday.
What are PLUS pitches?
Some pitches (20 %) carry the "PLUS" label. These are higher-priced pitches that aren't included in the JahresPass.
As a JahresPass customer, though, you get 50 % off the overnight cost of the PLUS pitches.
How do I use the VanSite JahresPass?
The VanSite JahresPass is linked to your free, personal VanSite account and your vehicle. That way you can make bookings easily through the website or the free app while you're on the road, so you can travel to your dream camping spot paper-free and relaxed.

Is the JahresPass tied to one person and how many people can I bring along?
Your VanSite JahresPass is tied to you and your registered vehicle. Because sharing the camping experience with someone is often even nicer, you can bring one more person and, at dog-friendly spots (about 80 % of all spots), your four-legged friend too.
How long is the JahresPass valid?
The VanSite JahresPass is valid for 12 months (365 days), starting from activation.
Are there any limits on using the JahresPass?
The number of bookings you can make isn't limited. So that all JahresPass holders enjoy fair access to our pitches, a few ground rules apply. You'll find them in detail above in the section „Keeping it fair for everyone“: up to 4 upcoming bookings at the same time, no more than 3 nights per booking, up to 7 bookings per host within 365 days, and up to 3 no-shows a year. You pay for water, electricity and the use of sanitary facilities directly to the host, as these aren't included in the JahresPass.
