Refund policy

  • Right of withdrawal
    • If you are a consumer (that is, a natural person who places the order for a purpose that cannot be attributed to your commercial or self-employed professional activity), you have a right of withdrawal in accordance with the statutory provisions.
    • If, as a consumer, you exercise your right of withdrawal under section 4.1, you have to bear the regular costs of return.

Withdrawal policy¹

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, take or has taken possession of the goods.

You may use the attached model withdrawal form for this purpose, although it is not mandatory. You can also fill out and submit the model withdrawal form or another clear statement electronically on our website (insert internet address). If you make use of this option, we will send you confirmation of receipt of such a withdrawal without delay (e.g. by email).

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your notification concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Should you purchase the VanSite annual pass or the VanSite pass and use it in connection with a booking on our website https://vansite.eu, please note that your statutory right of withdrawal expires upon first use.

Under § 356 (5) BGB, the right of withdrawal in a contract for the provision of services also expires if the entrepreneur has fully performed the service and only began performing it after the consumer gave their express consent and at the same time confirmed their awareness that they lose their right of withdrawal once the entrepreneur has fully performed the contract.

By using the VanSite annual pass or the VanSite pass as part of a booking on our website, you acknowledge and agree that we provide the service in full, and you confirm that you have been informed that your right of withdrawal expires once you make use of our service.


Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will repay all payments we have received from you, including delivery costs (except for the additional costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us), without delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal from this contract. For this repayment, we use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this repayment. We may refuse the repayment until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods, whichever is the earlier.

You must return or hand over the goods to us or to (where applicable, insert the name and address of the person authorised by you to receive the goods) without delay and in any case at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which you notify us of the withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the fourteen-day period has expired.

You bear the direct costs of returning the goods.

You only have to pay for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is due to handling of the goods that was not necessary to check their nature, characteristics and functioning.
